Red Light Camera got caught

429 bucks is my ticket cost for failing to stop completely intersection. It's been a while since I got a ticket but this the most expensive ticket I ever got. It's my fault, i doubt the judge will even lower the bill since I got by a camera. Got to suck it up and pay the price...Oh well!

Traffic school here i come!

    Ouch! I feel your pain. I got nabbed one time, too, and I was so mad at myself.

    I hope you can get this reduced. In some states, they will not let you opt out of the ticket via traffic school. But if it's your first time on candid camera, they will not report it to your insurance company if you pay the fine.

    I live in NorCal with everything else things are getting pricey.

    Last time i went in front of a judge about 4 years ago, he didn't reduced anything not even a penny. So I doubt I'll go again to try to get it reduced. Gotta to pay the piper... But I always enjoy traffic school somehow. Kinda weird hah...

    $429! Yiiii! I hate those cameras, not because I've ever been caught by one, but because I think they get me to stop on yellow lights when it would probably would be safer to slide on through. One of these days, I'm afraid I might get rear-ended. I'm already a conservative driver and I think those cameras make me get _too_ conservative. I now have a little decision-making argument with myself every time I'm at such an intersection when the yellow light comes on.

    You have to approach cautiously and be ready to make full stop. Otherwise if you kinda roll without stopping that camera will activate and take the picture. Both side got my face and license plate.

    Yikes indeed! I was going to say that, for that amount, perhaps it's worth asking around to see if there's a way to bargain it down, but when you said "NorCal", I was like, "Nevermind...."

    Friends out in Seattle are getting tickets from the red light cameras here too. As taxes don't get paid, the money has to come from somewhere. At least if its every 4 years, the average is reasonable.
